Be sure to reference your order number or confirmation number. If you are inquiring about a subscription service, e-mail subscriptions@ntis.gov or call our subscription department at 1-800-363-2068 or (703) 605-6060.

How to Cancel or Make Changes to Your Subscription/Ongoing Subscription Service

  • Submit your cancellation or change request in writing by e-mail to subscriptions@ntis.gov , or by fax to 703-605-6880 or by mail to:

  • Include the following information: name, address, telephone number, Customer Master Number, title of your subscription, and the action to be taken such as cancellation (please include the reason why) or address change.

    Once you cancel your ongoing subscription, no additional products will be shipped. There are no refunds on a cancelled subscription.

If you have not received your order within 21 business days and would like to verify the order status, please contact us at customerservice@ntis.gov or call us at 1-888-584-8332 or (703) 605-6050, M-F, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (ET).

NTIS also offers hundreds of thousands of products for immediate downloading from our website. These products are referred to as Electronic Documents. Significant cost and time savings are available with the Electronic Document option. NTIS also has available a RUSH SERVICE option on a limited selection of products (telephone orders only – not available for online orders or subscriptions). Using RUSH SERVICE, orders are processed by NTIS within one business day and then shipped by overnight express courier. RUSH SERVICE is available for an additional fee. Return Policy

NTIS electronically stores many of the 3 million items in our collection and custom-reproduces a single copy specifically for your order. Therefore, NTIS does not accept cancellations, requests for modifications, or returns for credit or refund. All sales are final. NTIS strives to provide quality products, reliable service, and fast delivery. Please contact us for a replacement within 30 days if the item you receive is defective or if we have made an error in filling your order.
